BRIDGE: Branching Ratio Inquiry/Decay Generated Events
We present the manual for the program BRIDGE: Branching Ratio Inquiry/Decay Generated Events. The program is designed to operate with arbitrary models defined within matrix element generators, so that one can simulate events with small finalstate multiplicities, decay them with BRIDGE, and then pass them to showering and hadronization programs. BRI can automatically calculate widths of two and ...
متن کاملMeasurement of the Dalitz-decay branching ratio of the π
The ratio B = Γ (π → eeγ)/Γ (π → γγ) is measured by comparing the production rates of the π in the two decay channels. The analysis is based on approximately four million hadronic decays of the Z boson recorded by the ALEPH detector in the years 1991 to 1995. The value of B is determined to be (1.140 ± 0.041)%. A recalculation of the Particle Data Group world average gives rise to a slightly im...
متن کاملBranching Ratio and Form Factor Measurements of 0 Beta Decay
We present a branching ratio measurement for the beta decay of neutral Cascade hyperon, 0 ! + e e , using the KTeV detector at Fermilab. We used the principal decay mode of 0 ! 0 where ! p , as the ux normalization mode. The status of the measurement of the ratio of the axial-vector to vector coupling (g1/f1) for the Cascade beta decay will also be discussed. Furthermore, we present the prelimi...
متن کاملBranching Ratio
The / e π ν π μν → → branching ratio provides unique access to physics beyond the Standard Model due to the extraordinary precision of its SM prediction and the potential for highly accurate measurements. The motivation and prospects for new measurements presently underway at PSI and TRIUMF will be discussed.
متن کاملFirst observation of the decay Bs0-->Ds-Ds+ and measurement of its branching ratio.
We report the observation of the exclusive decay Bs0-->Ds-Ds+ at the 7.5 standard deviation level using 355 pb(-1) of data collected by the CDF II detector in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron. We measure the relative branching ratio B(Bs0-->Ds-Ds+)/B(B0-->D-Ds+)=1.44(-0.44)(+0.48). Using the world average value for B(B0-->D-Ds+), we find B(Bs0-->Ds-Ds+)=(9.4(-4.2)(+4.4...
